Have you put yourself in a position where you can hear what God is saying?

Is God not talking to you or are you not listening to God?

Many complain that they do not hear God talking to them. God is silent - mute. These same people, however have done nothing to put themselves in a position to hear God speak. They want to hear the band play but refuse to purchase a ticket to the concert.

What have you done to put yourself in a position to hear God speak?

Have you climbed a tree, like Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10)?

Where do we go to hear what Jesus is saying to us?

Jesus preached the good news of great joy on the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection. There he proclaimed the identity of God. There he revealed God to us.

I have been there. I have witnessed with my own eyes the dramatic demonstration of divinity that Jesus performed there. However, I shall not tell you what I found. I shall only tell you where to look. I shall allow you to discover what I have discovered for yourself. Explore the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection to perfect your understanding of God.

On the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection, God planted the tree that we need to climb as Zacchaeus did to perfect our understanding of God. The tree that we need to climb to hear what God is saying to us is the Cross.

P.S. The body and blood of the most Holy Eucharist recreate the dramatic demonstration of divinity that took place on the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection. The connection between the body and the blood of the most Holy Eucharist is his wounds. The story of his bloody wounds unfolds on the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection. Go to Mass and learn the story of his bloody wounds.

More important than the Gospel written in words is the Gospel without words. The Gospel without words was preached through his bloody wounds on the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection. The evil we did to him opened the mouth of God. HIS BLOODY WOUNDS ARE THE MOUTH OF GOD. "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4)The good news of great joy was preached to us through his bloody wounds. By his bloody wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5) (1 Peter 2:24)

What passed through his bloody wounds and, more importantly, what did not? What are his bloody wounds trying to tell us? What do they say?

Listen!

Buckets of blood spilled through the wounds that our evil opened in his body but not a drop - not a drop - of his love for us followed the blood through the wounds and out of his body. His most Sacred Heart stayed filled to the brim with love for us. Because his most Sacred Heart stayed filled to the brim with love for us, Jesus was able to say "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" Luke 23:34
