The prodigious love of God as demonstrated by the answer of Jesus to the evil that we did to him is the strongest force on earth. Its gravity pulls us into a centripetal orbit around him. It is the knockout punch. It gobsmacks us. It knocks us off our horse (Acts 9:4). The prodigious love of God gives Christianity its magic, Jesus his charisma, us, our joy and clerics, who exclusively devote themselves to it, the power to change the world. It is the epicenter of Christianity - ground zero of our understanding of God. Upon Jesus's gentle answer to the evil that we did to him, the edifice of Christianity is built.
